Twenty Motorized Vehicles Distributed to People with Disability through Rajiv Gandhi Foundation
Twenty selected people with disability received motorized vehicle on October 3, 2012 through Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF). The event was organized by RGF and aaina at Vocational Rehabilitation Centre Jagamara, Bhubaneswar. Mrs. Kasturi Mohapatra (State Commissioner for People with Disability) was the chief guest. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Hawda (Director PWDs), Dr. C.P. Mohanty (Asst Director VRCH) and Mr. Ram Kumar Sharma (Rehabilitation Officer, VRCH) were the other guests. Mrs. Sneha Mishra (Secretary aaina) welcomed the audience. Mrs. Kasturi Mohapatra stated that the motorized vehicles would be vital for improving the quality of life of people with disability and help them to be a part of the mainstream society. Representatives from RGF Mr. Vinod Sharmaand Mr. Parmanand Bhatt attended the programme and shared the objectives of RGF. An engineer from Mahindra trained the PWDs on usage, repairing and maintenance of the vehicles. In the end, the vehicles were distributed to the selected PWDs by Mrs. Kasturi Mohapatra accompanied by Mr. P.K. Rath (Board member aaina) and Mrs. Sneha Mishra.
