aaina celebrated Child Rights Week at district level in Phulbani on 16th November 2013. Ninety participants attended the event. As per agenda an awareness rally was started from District veterinary Training hall at 10.30 AM with placards spreading the massage of rights of children, rights of education for person with disability and the rights of participation in every level. Children covered 4KM in of the town.

The Chief Guest for the program was Ms. Sanghamitra Mohapatra, DSW Kandhamal, chief Speaker Mr. Bibhuti Bhusan Mahapatra (DI Phulbani), and other guests were Ms. Kalpana Mohanty, Councilor women Desk, Ms. Swaha Das, Project Manager aaina. Mr. Basant Patnaik, project coordinator welcomed all the guests and the children for the event. Ms. Kalpana stressed on the importance of education for children to meet their dreams. Mr. Bibhuti Bhusana Mohapatra narrated a lovely poem on the initiative of aaina's work for the children and children with disability. He talked about different schemes and entitlement for the education of children and advised them to utilize all the govt. facilities and continue study. The chief guest of the event Ms. Sanghamitra Mohapatra shared her personal experience on obstacles she faced as a girl in her life from family and society.

On the spot song competition, dance competition and one act play & Fancy dress Competition. were organised for the children of different children clubs. DSW and other guests gave the prizes to 40 selected children for their best performance in sports and cultural programme.
